Advance Feature New Story Blog Post


     
     For this feature News Story my group decided to interview the National Art Honors Society club, NAHS for short. We chose this club because of how underrepresented they are in the school. Once we found our topic we decided production roles. Kenzi was our director, John was the cinematographer, Lucas was the script supervisor, and I was the editor. Since this was Maicy's first project, she didn't have a role and just learned from us. Maicy knew someone who we could interview from NAHS but we were able to get a second interview from a senior in HAHS, the one seen in the video, and she was able to answer all the questions and it made for a better video.
       For this project what I wanted to do differently was to try and make the video seem like the Interviewee was leading the interview. I tried to make it less question and answer, and make it flow more. I feel like this was an improvement from my last videos but there are parts where it cuts very rapidly and the B-Roll almost feel like it doesn't belong based on the quality of the cuts. There is still improvements I could make in how the interview flows and next time I want it to not feel at all like we are trying to drag an answer out of her and that she is talking about something that she is passionate about.
       Overall I feel like this was a good project and that our hard work reflected in the finished product. For my next project I'm going to try even more to make it flow and make the B-Roll feel like it is suppose to be there.

My house and Career Cruising

                                                               My Google Sketch Up House              In Ecomm we created houses in Google Sketch Up. We got plans too a house and recreated it Sketch Up.  It had too be over 500 Square Ft. and it took us over 3 weeks. Once we saved the plans we started building it. I started by measuring out the dimensions and making the base for my house. I then pulled the roof out of the block. I started making all the accessories to the the house like the windows and the porch and the doors. I added all the textures and the roofing and then my house was done.         On Career Cruising Animator and Graphic Design and Videographer were all part of my 10 career choices. These are all things that I would like to choose as a career. I prefer graphic design, then video followed by animation. This project would fit with these because it fits into the animation project.

Self Portrait Video

I chose to play Fortnite for my video because it represents me. I wanted to show other people that I had friends, since I played with Bartle2000. My work was inspired by Cole Bartley playing rocket league because I knew I could make a better video then him so I did. Cole's video didn't show the  whole screen so I worked to make sure I got the best angle I could have gotten.        Since we could only use our phones to record I had to clear room on my desk to make sure that I could fit my phone and the whole screen on my phone. Since I don't have workin speakers all you could hear was my keyboard so that is something I would improve if I redid my video. I wanted to show my talents of being able to get a good angle and making the shot look good no matter what I'm filming. Ecom Sidewalk Chalk project

        W E L C O M E T O M Y B L O G ! In Ecomm we had a sidewalk chalk projects to get to know people in our groups. We came together and made something that represented all of us. We spend the first day planning what we were going to create and made  a rough draft. My Group planning what to make The second day we started our final creation. Even though some people in our group put more of what they wanted in the chalk picture some parts of it represented all of us. The colors in our project didn't mean anything we just wanted it to be colorful. Each of the symbols represent things about our selfs.
