Video Final

    Short Film
The last project we did sophomore year was our short film project. For this project we all created our own scripts. Once we took time to create or scripts we presented a short summary of them to the class. We then all went on google classroom to vote for our favorite. I was gone the day we chose groups so I ended up in DJ's group. I wasn't happy with this at first because I wasn't the biggest fan of his story, and I hadn't ever worked with anyone in his group before. A challenge I faced was when both of the days for filming were scheduled before I was there and they were both scheduled for days that I had work. That ended up working out because I wasn't needed for filming because they had all the roles filled and I wouldn't have done anything even if I didn't have work and I went. Since I didn't do much on filming, I worked on a lot of the pre production paperwork stuff, and I also made the graphics for our video. This project, along with the script writing, probably took us around 1-1.5 months to complete this whole project. I learned a lot about the importance of working together even if you don't know most people in your group to make sure the project is the best it can be. I didn't know what to do what to in post production because Ariana wanted to edit it all by herself, so I talked to Mrs. Zimmerli and she gave me ideas of what I could do. I ended up crediting the credits graphic for the end of the video to giver everyone credit for the creation of the video. Overall I do like our final film but I think it would have been better to split up the editing so that we could get our video done and have it be turned in on time.

Another project I enjoyed this semester was the movie trailer project. We only had the best for this video, so we got Cole Bartley, our A class actor to act for us. I was happy with this project because everything ran smoothly and everything went the way we wanted it to

I  feel like I have done a good job of spending my time in wisely in video. On the other hand there have been moments when I've been more focussed on talking than getting work done, but as the year has gone on those days have become less and less. I stayed productive when we had free time by using the resources given to us in google classroom to advance my knowledge about how to make a good E-comm video. If I was given an 8 hour project and I had finished in 7 hours, I would go back over and use my extra hour wisely to make sure everything is done to the way I feel is best and to my bosses expectations.

I feel like an area of strength I has in E-Comm is with filming. I feel like I would be a strong director but I haven't had any chance to this year. Next I hope I'll be able to be a director for at least 1 project so I can see if it is something that I would enjoy doing.

I feel like, especially more at the beginning of the year, something I struggled with in E-comm was scheduling and trying to make sure everyone was available on every day. We had major scheduling issues in the fist outside of filming group because none of us had open schedules on the same day.

What I loved most about this semester was turning towards bigger projects that required out of school filming. Even though it required more team coordination. I liked the bigger production films and all the different people I was able to work with. Something I would change is making sure we have a set schedule before we try and do any filming.
